Pros
I've never worked in an environment with such a strong culture, especially considering most employees work in different cities across the country. Managers are clear with expectations and deadlines, and reward hard work in appropriate ways. Meetings are efficient and are only scheduled for connection and necessity (everyone is ultra-respectful of each other's time). That said, the team genuinely likes each other, laughs with each other and has fun. Jacob Palmer, who heads editorial operations, is an empathetic and effective manager with a true passion for the projects and all representations of the brand. He is growth-minded and his excitement over new projects fuels contributors throughout the organization, as well as other leaders. Communication from the top down is efficient and generous. The environment is one that people work hard and feel appreciated for it.
