Pros

Having worked at some really amazing companies, I can say, without a doubt, that this company is quite awful. I can’t really think of any positives, tbh.

Cons

I’m not one to typically talk poorly of companies, but I don’t feel like it would be fair to anyone joining this company to not know what they’re getting themselves into. This is a very young leadership team that is very inexperienced, but likes to think they know best. They say they’ll hire experts in their craft, but then they have very big opinions on how they think things should be done, even though they’re inexperienced in it. Feedback culture is terrible and often focused on what you do wrong with very little appreciation for everything you’re doing right. And forget recognition. The way people interact here is absolutely bizarre. Leadership will openly argue in an unhealthy and uncomfortable way in front of other people. People will take credit for other peoples work. They view people as disposable. Especially sales and marketing. If they don’t think you’re performing you’re gone, but you won’t have the tools and resources to be successful. I had some high hopes, and there are some really great people who work here, but leadership across the company is poor and even more so at the founding level. You will not be valued here. Pay is also extremely inequitable.

Pros

- Compensation range is solid, and backed by industry data. They will pay for the right background match - Candidates for new roles are well-screened and the team is high-quality - High agency to get things done - Executives try to foster a good working environment - Culture of work-life balance (as long as you put in your 40-45h/wk) - Company is currently break-even and has not spent much if any of the Series B runway - Director of Engineering has grown into his management role while retaining high technical competency - Even including the sales team, there has not been a lot of headcount turnover here across the lifetime of the company

Cons

- No 401k matching - Executive leadership is still developing their skills (though they have clearly improved since prior Glassdoor reviews) - Like many startups, there is always much flux (team is growing rapidly, product direction-changes in response to new customer types, etc.)
