Pros

Union Contracted. One of the highest paying manufactures located in the vicinity. Most shifts are based on a 3 days on/ 3 days off schedule. Celebrating 65th anniversary, plant closure is not likely, as the need for glass containers remains consistent.

Cons

Union contracted on a 3 year agreement, Right to Work state. Union is limited as to it's abilities for the employees. Working Conditions are in most unbearable as it is a glass manufacturing plant. Temperature as high as 2000 degrees to create molten glass. Burns, and dismemberment of limbs are major concern for workers. Dirty from the use of graphite on machines, as the graphite burns it fills the air; settling everywhere as the smoke cools; continuously inhaled as smoke or particulates. Pest & varmit infested. Located on the city's old sewer station. The production plant is located in the middle of the company, wrapped by an open warehouse.
