Pros
Decent pay and benefits. Full health + 401K matching for about a year. Mostly remote work structure and some of the hardest working people I've ever met. Attentive had great DEI initiatives at the time which held regular events outside of work. I met a lot of great people from other teams and bonded over good conversation and drinks.
Cons
I was happily employed for almost 2 years before things quickly fell apart. Mass layoff happened early January 2023, 15% of the org was let go for budgetary reasons. The CEO boasted about company financials during all hands but quietly planned force reduction measures behind the scenes. There was one year of 401K matching which was quickly cut prior to the layoff. Most perks were eliminated to curb spending including a $15 lunch stipend and health/wellness benefits. CEO announced revocation of remote work for select EPD teams which caused major uproar since most employees joined Attentive thinking the organization was remote friendly. Many teams were siloed at the company including product which underwent some painful changes before I joined. Leadership seemed inexperienced and uncaring especially the middle management types. I was frequently ignored by my manager and he cared little for my career growth or wellbeing.
