Pros

There are no pros unless you’re happy to partake in the mean girl/favouritism culture that promotes and rewards laziness and poor performance. All the best talent and best people have left and the poor performers that remain create havoc and a poor culture of passing the buck and evade doing any actual work of value.

Cons

I would give zero stars if it was an option. Worst culture, despite the pretence of the opposite. Lazy, idol and incompetent people are not perfomanced managed which created a poor culture where favourites are rewarded. People who are employed in senior roles get away with being poor performers and having any actual skill in their work due to claiming mental health issues and therefore are protected at eveyone elses expenses. It’s disgraceful how they treat hardworking people and reward and protect the bullies and the hard workers get shafted over and over. Not a compassionate or rewarding place to work with no support, guidance or effective management with a bullying and mean girl culture from the top.

Pros

Mission and purpose is clear. The work matters and you feel like you’re actually helping people. Execs have worked hard to set a clear five-year strategy and get all the teams behind it. Flexible working is amazing and high level of trust in these arrangements. Some of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Cons

There has been a lot of change over the last 10 years, the organisation grew from 50 to almost 350 people. It’s been difficult for some staff to adjust to the change, they expect it to still feel like a small business where they get to have a say on everything. It’s not perfect, but the leaders listen to feedback and action the suggestions when they can. The number of services and programs offered (most of them free for people to use) takes a bit of time to get your head around.
