Pros

* The people - To me, it all begins and ends with the quality of the people of the organization and there are a LOT of them here. You want to work with people you like and there is plenty of them here! * The leadership - Throughout my time here, the leadership has shown the ability to truly lead a team in all areas of the organization and work together towards a common goal. They care deeply about the members of their team and have shown tremendous support in helping their team(s) succeed. * The product and direction of the company - As a technology company, you want to be part of something that has a clear vision and is innovative. It is refreshing to be part of something that is constantly looking for ways to improve and listens to their employees and customers for ways to get better - then take that feedback to get better. * Not micromanaged - This goes back to the leadership and people but it’s great to be treated as a professional and with the understanding that although you are held accountable in your role and expected to deliver - you don’t have someone constantly looking over your shoulder. * Provided the same tools to succeed that you would expect from a large organization

Cons

Like any smaller organization that is growing, there can be challenges around allocating resources to certain projects - but a good problem to have due to the growth and success thus far.

Unlimited PTO policy (which people do actually use), friendly atmosphere, you get to do important things right away

Somewhat low compensation (for tech), diversity is a little low (but actively being improved)

Pros

Blue Marble Payroll Is a great place to work. Everyone is approachable and amiable, including leaders, managers, and the CEO. They invest in their people. I was quickly promoted from a contractor to a full-time employee with benefits and a pay increase. I needed remote work, and thankfully the entire company is remote, so that was already an essential component of the company's work culture. Additionally, managers and leaders are flexible and do not pigeon-hole employees. All departments and teams have achieved a synergy that ensures everyone is an invaluable contributor to the mission of leading the global payroll industry with superior technology, payroll implementation processes and customer service. The company also demonstrates commitment to diversity of all kinds, including to those with differing abilities.

Cons

It's hard to know how often and how much PTO days can be requested, there is no set number, so sometimes if you're thinking of requesting, you may feel like you're requesting too much or too little. The good thing is managers are accommodating, but knowing how many days one has can help the employee ensure their PTO request is reasonable.
