Pros

I'm a current employee, over 4 years. I was around for the "Country Boys" as well, yes, they were bad, everything true. The new Burt and Associates is better. Management is a little off, but we can lay that blame at the feet of several different people and circumstances. Ken Bone is the CEO, and yes, due to a family issue, he's temporarily turned the management over to a trusted employee who does the best he can to ensure we stay alive. Sales department, I don't work that department. This former employee though, gave up when the fiance got fired because they were promised collection manager by a new Sales manager who never placed a new client on her own, never did anything that benefited this company and is a proven job hopper. Fiance raised enough stuff to be escorted out of the office and left the significant other holding the fallout. The commenting party was left alone, to DO A JOB, which included pay verifies, obtaining documentation on accounts and, basically, helping us collectors help to maintain the business. In the last two months of this poster's employment with Burt and Associates, my paid to client fee dropped by half, nasty account notes became the norm and most of us were glad to see the bad attitude walk out the door. Bye Felicia!

Cons

There's a VP that rarely makes an appearance. No guidance to employees in that department and they are in a difficult position. It's a growing company with struggles, but again, most are trying to make it right and do what's ethical.

Pros

The culture of accountability without micromanagement is a breathe of fresh air. They want people to succeed here and they are extremely fair. They are open to ways to better this place and want to make it grow. One of the best things is that the upper management always makes time for the employees... if you have a question or need help the door is always open and they always answer the phone.

Cons

Some past employees were cancerous to the process and tried there best to leave this place in disarray. Luckily the things that were once broken are now fixed.

Pros

I had a great sales training experience, however, new employees are no longer trained. They don't micro-manage you. There is no cap on bonuses

Cons

No true management or leadership. The CEO left a few months ago and left people in charge that can't seem to get things working. If you're one of the "boys" or a good friend of one of them you will be just fine. I saw them fire multiple competent people only to hire friends and family of current employees that don't have the necessary experience. Management pays so little attention that you don't even have to do your job. That's great if you don't care about your clients or collecting money, which it's obvious that many employees don't care. It takes HR days to respond to a request. There are less than 30 employees. It shouldn't take that long!
