Pros

They hire frequently and there are always new people to work with

Cons

Staff gets let go to often that I am always worried for my job. I like the other employees but no one feels save in their position! Everyone is scared of HR because they fire people all the time.

Thank you for taking time to leave your review on our GlassDoor page. Cenikor’s culture is one of our greatest assets and we strive to create a positive atmosphere for all team members in order to achieve the best service for our clients, not an atmosphere of fear. It is true that the Human Resources department is responsible for investigations of misconduct or non-performance. We do have both regulations and policies that govern these investigations and how we handle corrective action. For any concerns with your current working environment, you have the option to discuss with either your supervisor or HR. With whomever you decide to contact, our open door policy and complaint resolution process is the same. If any additional questions, please contact us at HR@cenikor.org.

Pros

The people who work in the treatment world for a non-profit are usually there because they’re great human beings - you’ll find some of the best coworkers you’ve ever had here.

Cons

The workload is unmanageable. The pay is well below market value. The managers are so overworked that even the good ones snap at their team. Why are members of the accounting team nicer than the leaders in HR? It makes me sick to my stomach how the managers in HR treated those on the HR team; almost every Friday after their big weekly meeting, they would all be in tears because of how they were spoken to. Employee mediations are a joke. Most of the people who work here I think are desperate for a job and have criminal backgrounds which makes it hard for them to leave to find a new job even when they’re being mistreated. Cenikor counts on that fact and takes advantage of their compassion for the clients and their belief in the mission as well as their desperation to have a job. You’re not forced to pay someone fair market rates when they can’t get a job hardly anywhere else.
