Pros
Perks include strong benefits plans, sophisticated learning and development programs, well-designed internship programs, and opportunities for growth and advancement.
Cons
I wouldn’t recommend working here if you value work-life balance or are serious about protecting your mental health. While there are opportunities for growth and development, some departments can be highly demanding and may foster a toxic work environment.
During my interview, I was told to warn my family that I would likely be less available due to the demands of the job, which is not uncommon in the sports industry. However, throughout my tenure, I experienced frequent disrespect, including profanity, verbal abuse, public humiliation, persistent workplace gossip, and rumors. In some cases, behavior felt malicious rather than constructive.
At one point, after a relationship with a member of senior leadership deteriorated due to my advocacy for diversity and inclusion, I felt increasingly isolated and perceived a noticeable shift in how I was treated by others within that department.
