Pros
The boss is very lenient with any time off requests. Very good work/life balance. You are only expected to put in 49 billable hours a week which is nice. If you are not a morning person you will like this place. Even though core hours are 10:30-3:30 people can roll in whenever they feel like it.
Cons
If you don’t have thick skin don’t work here. It is the coldest, rudest place I’ve ever encountered. If you don’t understand something do not admit it as it is seen as a weakness. There are some nice programmers but that is not the norm. Some people are so condescending that it borders on harassment.. if you can’t battle you will be left on the side. If you are not among the bosses elite you will have no voice in the company. There is no pair programming, and you are constantly told to not bother other developers for help. If you do tech support you are not always informed about deployments, but expected to fix issues you don’t know about. You would think in an office of less than 10 that it would be a tight knit group, but unfortunately it’s not that way. If you are entry level you should definitely not apply. There is no career development. People are very opinionated and it’s a constant battle. If you complain to management about harassment you are told to accept it as this is just how the person is, you are expected to take harassing behavior. Make sure you monitor your paystub and make sure Cimulus gives you the benefits that are outlined in your offer letter, they will not make sure it happens, you have to push it.
