- XYZ has the worst work environment that I have ever heard of/could possibly imagine. There is so much mismanagement & micromanaging at the highest degree, no company perks or employee bonding initiatives, SUPER high turnover, expectation that they don't want you to "waste" time talking to your coworkers and just do your work, unfair & unequal enforcement of work policies, culture of confusion and miscommunication, management is okay with employees openly yelling at each other, unethical, unsafe & even illegal work practices that leadership will put extreme pressure on you to do (they will ask you to share a hotel room with your colleagues when traveling & I even got told - not asked, told - to SHARE A BED!!! when they didn't book the room properly). During the Silverado fire, when every company in the area was evacuating, we were told to keep working because we "weren't technically in the evacuation zone" even though you could see the FLAMES on the hill across from us! I have truly never-ending examples that you wouldn't believe. -Below market & terrible pay for high responsibilities that will only increase as your coworkers ultimately quit and no one is backfilled -Technology that literally does not work as promised/has constant major issues, and the R&D team will make excuses as to why they can't fix it or say they can't replicate the problems. But you're still expected to lie to/convince customers and clients that it's a good investment -Disorganized company direction with so much disconnect between US and Taiwan HQ. HQ has zero understanding about what works for the US market but will still have the last say on what to execute -Management wants the cheapest costs on everything and that includes the office space, work software, travel expenses, your income and even custodial staff (expect trash to barely be taken out and dust to accumulate everywhere) -Empty office with barebones office supplies and desks
