Pros
Decent pay and healthcare benefits
Cons
Being great at your job makes no difference if management lacks proper training. The environment is more akin to highschool than a professional work place, which contributes to the turn over. Gossip, bullying, and personal vendettas run rampant. Almost sure neither the manager or Director received any formal leadership training. The amount of work accepted compared to the amount of staff was a constant source of frustration. The director will accept all jobs without any consideration for staffing capacity and then berate you when they have to jump in and help. Initially analysts were doing the job of 3 different positions. Many working between 60-80 hours just to stay afloat. It took over 2 years for management to listen and add another team for research support.
