Pros
I love working in such a supportive, creative environment packed with great minds and brilliant people! As an award-winning agency, we're lucky to partner with some fantastic clients from a range of industries. My job is so varied, from writing blogs, guides, and emails to optimising live pages or producing white papers and content plans - no two days are the same. And yes, I still get a kick when my work is published alongside the immense satisfaction of helping our clients achieve their goals, whether generating more leads or ranking higher in searches.
I used to think digital marketing was only for the young - seems I was wrong. I was a journalist for 25 years then made redundant fairly recently. That makes me significantly older than many of my colleagues. But you know what, it doesn't matter. With the support and expertise of MRS, I've learned so much and adapted my writing skills to the needs of the business in an ever-changing digital landscape. I now write for some of our biggest B2B and B2C clients about key topics such as life insurance, pensions, cybersecurity, car insurance, and power supplies. But I also create content for clients from the fashion, food, and leisure industries - like I say, incredibly varied!
So, if you're considering a change of career and your skills are transferrable, I'd highly recommend digital marketing. You may even strike gold and find an opportunity at a superb agency like MRS.
