I really like working here - Associate Veterinarian Lovet Pet Health Care Employee Review

Pros

I think Lovet balances doctor-freedom and corporate convenience quite well. They stay out of the way when I'm treating patients or planning treatment, but they are always available for IT support, HR and other services when I need them. There's been a lot of changes in the last few years, but the vast majority of them have made us better.

Cons

Lots of changes ... can be tough to keep up, and it's a little tiring. Also, they regularly ask us to pick up additional shifts (that they'll pay us for, of course!) but most of the time I just want to work my 4 days and that's that.

Pros

Lovet has a great team culture, built on mentorship and training. The people here really care about helping pets and pet parents, and supporting each other in the process. The organization is quick to adopt new tools (very client friendly) and has great access to CE.

Cons

Almost all of the Lovet hospitals have other Lovet locations a short distance away. They could probably improve at linking the hospitals together but it's gotten a lot better!

Pros

You will learn a lot and grow in your skills. There’s usually always someone willing to teach you. Great coworkers

Cons

Once transitioning to Lovet instead of AzPetVet everything became about revenue and how many wellness plans you could sell. Not about patient care. At my location specifically a lot of religious employees got more opportunities and got away with more than those who weren’t. They also claim to be very supportive of their LGBT staff but aren’t. My whole hospital redid our awareness board for pride month and put flags up. Suddenly after being up for a week every flag was taken down, drawings of flags erased, and were shoved in a locker. Nothing was said it was just all gone over night.
