Misleading “Best Place to Work” High Stress & Poor Management While there are free pizza, the work environment at Nell’s Pizza is extremely challenging. The company is understaffed, with high staff turnover, and team dynamics can be toxic. Longer-serving employees sometimes undermine newer staff by spreading misinformation to management, creating a culture of favoritism and exclusion. Pay is low, particularly for PSWs from uni, and the head office often overlooks these issues, prioritizing certain staff over others. Training is minimal or nonexistent, yet employees are expected to perform immediately, which adds unnecessary stress.The best places to work get voted by long serving staff and need be careful not be mislead. The reality quickly becomes frustrating. Hours are unreliable, management can be unsupportive and critical even when they haven’t witnessed your work, and there is little empathy for staff well-being. While it might suit someone with a thick skin who thrives under constant pressure, this is not a place for those seeking stability, clear communication, and a positive, supportive work environment. You can be fired instantly without a warning,ruined me with fake promises I resigned from my previous employment only to realise I am in a very toxic ,work environment I wish I had trusted thr previous comments on this platform just be careful before joining them.
