Pros

A cosy and gorgeous campus Students

Cons

Your CV and experience won't serve much. There are serious problems with this University in particular, ranging from discrimination to shady mid-rank appointments. Colleagues with much more depth in their CVs are belittled, patronised and sidelined. You see people becoming course and programme leaders without any prior experience in academia, having held very junior roles elsewhere. Some just started their PhD after being appointed as a course leader. Some of them know each other outside of work: a job-for-my-mates kind of place (conflict of interest alert).

Pros

It is not based in North Korea, yet.

Cons

It lacks basic structures in some dept like action log, open calls for promotion and transparency. A lot of people promoted during a boom and lack depth, skills and experience which they try to overcome thru false niceties. They have favourites who normally are former students with higher rank colleagues "sponsorship". It is not a place for intellectual or academic development as any critical thinking or ideas are dismissed if you aren't part of a clique. Your CV won't matter, if they don't like the look of you you will be given tasks and modules which will stop your progression. Well, as long as someone is getting a got paycheck sod others.
