Pros

Working at Learna was an invaluable experience. There was a great culture among workers, and Courtenay Probert and Steve Davies were dynamic, inspiring and compassionate leaders. I gained so much knowledge of digital pedagogy and the validation processes for university courses, which put me in great stead for other roles.

Cons

My initial salary was not high, but the company were in its early stages and it has been great to see Learna expand exponentially in recent years. That said, Courtenay Probert was so understanding when it came to financial necessities and by the end of my time at Learna my role and salary were rewarding.

Learna (UK) Response

We're over the moon to hear that you value the hybrid working environment and the camaraderie amongst our colleagues. We're particularly proud of the emphasis on knowledge sharing and cross-departmental collaboration. You've hit the nail on the head regarding the intensity towards the end of the March and September cohort intakes. It's during these periods that we become our most focused and driven. We're always incredibly humbled by the teamwork's dedication, effort, and effectiveness at these choke points. As we're approaching September, we're all gearing up for the next big push. With the positive attitude you've shown in this review, I've no doubt we'll be smashing it together! 😊

Pros

As CEO, I aim to lead the Learna team in delivering accessible, flexible, career-enhancing education for healthcare professionals. Everyone at Learna is passionate about this mission. Feedback from students highlights how impactful the teams are in their roles. In recent years, we’ve built strong foundations for scale, streamlining operations, embedding AI tooling, professionalising governance, and deepening our understanding of our students and markets. The business has grown significantly and weathered major external shocks. We’re now entering a new chapter, with a renewed focus on international growth, student value, and long-term defensibility. I’m proud of the culture we’ve fostered: respectful, collaborative, and grounded in trust. We empower people to make decisions, solve problems, and grow in their roles. If you want to make a difference and you’re pragmatic, team-oriented, and motivated by outcomes, you’ll likely thrive.

Cons

Transformation isn’t tidy. We’ve gone through major shifts, in systems, strategy, structure and while the direction of travel is clear, it’s been demanding at times. Some roles have outgrown their original remit; others are still being defined. We’re still building certain capabilities, particularly in user experience, B2B sales, and product innovation. The pace can be relentless, and ambiguity is sometimes part of the process.
