Pros

The intern team you work with is the main reason to come in.

Cons

You are expected to be there from 10am - 5pm despite it being an unpaid internship. You ask for a task and you do not even get a response a lot of the time. You have to be incredibly persistent and assertive to get to do something you want. No reimbursement for travel costs is given and volunteers are given tasks that do not relate at all to any legal work. They created fundraising pages in our name without a proper consultation, and you feel pressured trying to raise money when you're already contributing your time by doing work for them. A lot of these tasks should be being done by a paid staff member, and if the budget is not there then they should not be using the role of a volunteer to fill that. They also need to create a more professional environment, organised so that everyone knows what task they're doing and everything is managed properly. Currently, that is not the case and there is a lot of miscommunication.
