Pros
Most students are coming from difficult backgrounds and are here for a second chance. As an alternative to a traditional post-secondary college or trade Ross giving a 7 month program in Morning and Evening shifts gives a lot of opportunity to a diverse group of people. Coworkers are also mostly very supportive.
Cons
The focus on retention is ridiculous given the population it serves. Leadership believes that providing child like events and goodies will help with keeping students but refuses to put any effort or budgeting into finding solutions for the REAL issues which is transportation and childcare so placing blame on the staff at campus' is the next best thing to do. As you are working with the population that you serve people can be UNPREDICTABLE and leadership tends to forget that.
MONTHLY Salary payment is rough.
If software was updated a lot more people would be on the same page, unnecessary meetings could be cut which would give employees to actually work their job
