Pros
At the end? None, only my co workers made this job worth coming to work every day.
Cons
I spent nearly five years at Atlas, during which there were multiple management transitions. I joined at a time when the billing department was facing significant challenges, as the previous employee had recently left due to management issues. I took the initiative to address these issues and successfully implemented improvements, ensuring that billing was completed and invoiced every two weeks on schedule. During this period, I also managed highway invoices and worked with project managers who were often uncooperative, answered the front desk phone because our receptionist was frequently unavailable, and assisted with setup processes, despite some team members not prioritizing accuracy or thoroughness. These responsibilities were manageable until the company reduced our PTO hours, citing the allocation of sick time hours. Subsequently, the company eliminated the annual bonus for hourly employees, and the merit increases provided were below the cost of living. The CFO has demonstrated a challenging attitude that can be difficult to engage with, and the CEO's leadership style is hard to describe. Overall, I view this position as a stepping stone and recommend that those in administrative roles at Atlas consider exploring other opportunities. I have concerns about the company's future direction and wouldn't be surprised if a sale occurs.
