Pros
I find it difficult to share any positive feedback, as I truly believe that my experience during the interview process was misleading. It is astonishing to me that this company operates on a global scale.
Cons
I worked at Giorgio Foods for a brief period and was disappointed by the lack of proper training and ineffective management. New employees are placed in roles with little to no guidance, making it difficult to succeed. There is no structured onboarding or training program, and management does not provide the necessary support to help employees grow in their roles.
Additionally, communication is a major concern. Important information is often unclear or not communicated at all. In my case, I was terminated without a clear explanation, and leadership struggled to provide a direct reason for their decision, leading to confusion. Conversations with other employees revealed that many only approach HR when absolutely necessary, further highlighting the communication gap. Instead of fostering a supportive environment, management often shifts blame onto employees and delivers inconsistent messaging.
During my time at the company, my manager, Ana Dole, acknowledged that Giorgio Foods is “way behind on technology, training, employee engagement, and communication.” When I responded that companies do not change from the bottom up but rather from the top down, I sensed that she did not take it well, as she had major projects in mind. I believe that the Giorgio executive team, including Peter Giorgi and Gina Delillo are not as connected to their leadership as they should be, creating a disconnect that leaves room for significant operational failures.
