Pros

I’ve been working at Innovative since under a provisional licence since August 2025. The amount of confidence and development In my knowledge had been significant. The hard work is paying off as the learning curve is levelling out and I’m not focusing on my grow in clinic services. Higher management is extremely skilled and it motivates me to see how much I can support our clients. My clinical manager is warm and responsive. I like the combination of levels of support available. The admin team is also responsive and kind. IOTs is more of a family feel then a large corporate structure.

Cons

There is a lot to learn in a short period of time and I always worried in the beginning when seeing clients I may not have been doing enough for them.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed reflection on your experience. It’s great to hear how much your confidence and clinical skills have grown, and that the support from your managers and team has made a difference along the way. We recognize that there can be a steep learning curve at the start and it’s also helpful to hear your thoughts on incorporating more in-person workshops into training as we continue to evolve. Thanks again for taking the time to share this! We appreciate you!

Pros

What I appreciate most is how genuinely OT‑focused the work is. We actually get to practice the way occupational therapy is meant to be done with the client at the center and real care behind every decision. Nothing feels like box‑ticking or rushing through tasks. It’s meaningful, purposeful work that truly makes a difference.

Cons

The high standard of individualized care can make the workload feel intense at times
