Pros
The Office Manager who buffered us from dealing with the owner at times. Until she was let go shortly after myself.
Cons
After more than 33 years as a professional custom picture framer, I feel obligated to share my experience working at ADC. If you truly value your artwork, memorabilia, or anything irreplaceable, I would strongly advise against bringing it here for framing.
In my time there, I repeatedly witnessed a lack of basic understanding of proper framing techniques and preservation standards. Unfortunately, I was often instructed to perform work that went against everything I’ve learned over decades in this profession. Valuable and irreplaceable items were damaged in the process.
One recurring issue was altering artwork to compensate for incorrectly ordered frames or materials. I was asked to cut down original artwork simply to make pieces fit available frames. There was also a tendency to glue objects together without consideration for long-term preservation or damage.
One project in particular still bothers me: a customer brought in a collection of tickets representing decades of concerts, sporting events, movies, and personal memories. When the plexiglass was ordered too small, the decision was made to drill directly through the collection in order to force the design to work. That mindset — prioritizing a “vision” over preservation — was something I struggled with constantly.
I found the overall approach to framing careless and deeply unprofessional. Proper custom framing requires knowledge of materials, weight distribution, fragility, preservation methods, and respectful handling of clients’ cherished items. In my opinion, those standards were not being met.
This review is based entirely on my personal experience as someone who has dedicated more than three decades to this craft.
