Pros

Great colleagues to work with. Good place to work at if you're white and LGBTQI+

Cons

Racist, misogynist, Islamophobic, ableist, supporters of Israel and genocide. Claim to be non-political: they are an EDI org- how can you be non-political?! Heavy workload, SLT does not care about the fact there's not enough people for the amount of work an individual has to do. No ethics, morals or good sense.

Pros

Most of members that you work with are absolutely lovely, and really care about creating inclusive workplaces.

Cons

Staff feel psychologically unsafe to share views or opinions which question the leadership, their colleagues or provide feedback in any way, as its taken as personal attacks on them, rather than constructive criticism as valuable feedback which could be implemented. On that basis anyone that doesn’t keep quiet either leaves or is asked to leave. Those people then have have their own personal brand damaged by messaging to members which is not true, in order to try and preserve Inclusive Employers already damaged reputation.  Financially: - No pay rises - No bonuses - Reduction in pay for existing colleagues, after restructuring the organisation due to their poor business model. Avoid working for this organisation at all costs!

Thank you for your comment, and for the positive feedback around how our teams create an inclusive caring culture, both internally and for our clients. We work incredibly hard at our people culture, and as a small business, we do prioritise as many feedback mechanisms as we can including an ‘always on’ online engagement survey, a colleague forum, ERGs, wellbeing and safe space workshops and an excellent EAP including wellbeing support. I believe that what we offer, for the size business we are, is excellent. Regarding pay and bonuses, we have a bonus scheme that everyone is part of, which is based on company performance. Like many businesses in the last year, we have had to balance increasing employment costs (particularly NI), which impacted what we were able to do for discretionary pay rises this year. It’s worth saying that in previous years this has been different and discretionary pay rises have been given. Regarding our recent re-organisation – we recently reorganised some roles as a foundation for our growth, and this meant that unfortunately some roles no longer existed. The new roles available were within a different pay banding, aligned to the skills needed. No-one’s pay was ‘reduced due to restructuring’, and our change process was implemented to the highest standard, one that I am really proud of the team for delivering. I wish you well for the future, and thank you for your contribution to IE. Janet - CEO

Pros

- I was able to work with autonomy and contribute in ways that aligned with my strengths, even as the business introduced more structure. - The team was genuinely caring and supportive, especially during personal challenges — the kindness I experienced felt human and heartfelt. - I felt able to be my professional, authentic self with both colleagues and clients, which made the work especially meaningful. - Consulting with members and clients across sectors was deeply rewarding. Helping embed inclusion into strategy and culture gave me a real sense of purpose. - I had opportunities to influence wider business strategy and contribute to internal projects, which aligned with my leadership experience and interests. - My final line manager supported and appreciated me, while also constructively challenging my approach — it helped me grow and refine my practice. - Despite working remotely, I built strong relationships and felt my ideas were heard. The culture encouraged feedback and collaboration, which made a real difference. - Receiving positive feedback from clients affirmed the value and impact of my work. The relationships I built with members were a highlight of my role. - Even during restructuring, I found opportunities for learning, growth, and contribution. The pace suited my working style and kept me engaged. - The company genuinely strove to create an inclusive environment where people could thrive. - I was able to create balance and boundaries that supported my wellbeing, which made the work sustainable and enjoyable.

Cons

- During a period of transition and restructuring, some leadership appointments didn’t align well with the needs of the business. - In a small organisation, individual influence can have a big impact. When leadership lacked the right experience or alignment, it affected team stability — and I did see some talented colleagues leave as a result. - That said, by the time I left, things were improving. Leadership felt more grounded, and the business seemed to be finding its rhythm again. This is what my star ratings are based.
