Pros
The office in downtown Toronto is beautiful! I felt like working there was a dream job experience. I was very passionate about the work that I did, and it was really fun to explore the building and all the different departments. My team was very nice, and we all got along well, though we were only in person once a week.
Cons
There weren't many opportunities to extend beyond what was listed on my contract. For example, when I volunteered to edit videos, given that I had software experience, I was told that, per my contract, I can only generate ideas for videos and then pass them along to someone else to edit them. The roles are followed very strictly, so it doesn't leave a lot of room to try new things or be out of the box. At times, it also felt like my work wasn't valued, as I was an entry-level worker who was significantly younger than the others on my team, as well as the only contract worker. I would often get left out of team events or company perks.
