Pros

Cons

No growth No increasing pay as roles increase Bad leadership that rewards loyal employees with a higher workload rather than pay and roles that match experience Little to no training opportunities High turnover and serverly understaffed, you'll be asked to do several other jobs that are not in your job description under the guise of being a team player

Pros

The organization has a long history of providing community services and early childhood education through various programs. Some departments offer consistent schedules and time off that support work-life balance. Staff members across different areas (administrative offices, program services, Head Start centers) are dedicated and work hard for the mission. Opportunities to connect with the community and see the impact of the work being done.

Cons

Management lacks leadership skills and abilities to operate an organization of this size. Limited growth or professional development opportunities. Communication from leadership can be unclear, leading to frustration among staff. Turnover is high in multiple departments, making it difficult to create stability. Limited growth or professional development opportunities. Communication from leadership can be unclear, leading to frustration among staff. High turnover in multiple departments makes it difficult to create stability. The CEO shows little concern for employees, displays favoritism, and often responds defensively when staff or management raise concerns. The Board of Directors is not an effective outlet for staff concerns, as it appears to be heavily influenced by the CEO.
