Pros
Most people stay with the business for the people and colleagues but if you thrive in high-pressure environments, this role offers a constant sense of urgency, a demanding workload, and plenty of fast-paced problem-solving then this is the place for you.
Cons
The overall culture at PHMG feels out of step with the modern standards seen across most mainstream workplaces. Despite clear and consistent feedback from much of the workforce on issues such as flexibility and wellbeing, senior leadership appears resistant to meaningful change. If you don’t fully align with the company ethos, concerns can be dismissed, and you may be made to feel as though you simply lack “resilience.” Under Gareth’s management, there has been, to what many perceive as unnecessary stress and anxiety across teams. I have rarely seen a team with such a high number of employees on stress-related sick leave, often without adequate support, understanding, or meaningful intervention. The only priority for managers right now is buying a new building with ping pong tables and a roof bar!
