Pros
I love working for a faith based institution that I can support. HR was ready and willing to listen and provided a safe environment to help.
Cons
My one and only complaint is with the supervisor of the custodial department. She is constantly falsely accusing employees of misuse of time and resources, she slanders us and our work regularly, she threatens to fire us only to say "I was only joking." She refuses to give standard time expectations for tasks or clear standards to be achieved, then berates employees for taking too long and/or going to fast. When asked for clear expectations we are told that is, "unreasonable." There is no guaranteed break times in the 5 hours of manual labor, so we are told we can take occasional 1-5 minute breaks. However, if we do this we will be accused of taking a 45 minute break. Several times I have been sitting for less than 2 minutes and I have been told I need to stop taking 45 minute breaks.
If you are considering working in the custodial department, please consider working literally anywhere else! (Other departments at the school are fantastic to work with.)
