Pros
I believe the pros and cons are upto the person on how they perceive it, when it comes to matters of work itself. What they get to do, build, nurture, etc, will be projects they take up with passion. You will get to work on things from end-to-end if you have the passion and the persistence for it. But, you cannot expect there to be every system already in place and expect things to serve every need of yours by default. If it's not there, please participate and build it with Ather. Conversations are the cornerstone of the company.
Cons
In terms of people benefits, while the company is on par with the industry standards, it's important to assess early on what your expectations are. It is a start-up and that comes with its own kind of unpredictability, but know that the place, especially its people will have your back. If they fail to, again, participate and make it happen.
I list this as a con only because this requires a lot of voluntary action and is not an easy task. But, at Ather, individuals are highly-empowered.
