As Store Manager, I have the opportunity to work closely with the owners and leadership team, and I can confidently say they are exceptional leaders. They are open, communicative, and deeply invested in both the team and the business. They empower store leadership to take ownership and are genuinely receptive to feedback, always focusing on growth and long-term success. Their willingness to evolve creates a dynamic and exciting work environment. Our clients are wonderful, our buys are thoughtfully curated, and the product is truly beautiful. For anyone passionate about styling and fashion, it’s an inspiring place to work. New merchandise is constantly arriving, which keeps the energy fresh and makes each day engaging and creative. Compensation is another strong point. We offer competitive salaries, and even part-time team members are paid well. The owners understand today’s cost-of-living challenges and prioritize retention. While there has been some turnover, it has largely been due to life transitions such as graduation or relocation rather than culture-related concerns. The culture itself is warm, supportive, and welcoming. The owners also show appreciation through team lunches, snacks, gifts, and occasional bonuses. One of the most meaningful aspects of working here is how seriously constructive feedback is taken. Open conversations are encouraged, and when challenges arise, solutions are discussed collaboratively. Team members truly feel heard.

Decent salary and benefits after 3 months.

Cons

The owners of this store have been severely abusive towards staff and especially management. I have been witness to this behaviour on multiple occasions and during my time there, had lost 5-7 staff members because of their behaviour. Spreading rumours about staff to others employees in the store, intimidating and harassing all staff by intense micro managing, speaking in a aggressive and loud tone, belittling and tearing down confidence in employees making statements that they know whats best for the business and the right way. Not open to new ideas, no room to grow. They have made false promises to grow with in the company and never following through. No bonuses or promotions for hard work or making targets. Pushing employees out by ostracizing and excluding employees from tasks or involvement in store projects.

The work environment was extremely stressful and uncomfortable. I regularly witnessed management speaking to staff in a demeaning and intimidating way, including public criticism and aggressive communication. There was clear favoritism, inconsistent enforcement of rules, and constant monitoring that created fear rather than support. Do NOT work here for your mental health, it is NOT worth it. Terrible environment and something I have never experienced before!!! So awful. Concerns about workplace conduct were raised, including involvement from outside authorities, but there was no meaningful improvement afterward. Instead, responsibility was shifted onto managers, and the overall atmosphere worsened. As an employee, this environment took a serious toll on my mental health and made me feel unsafe at work. I ultimately felt I had no reasonable option but to leave.
