Pros

Small warehouse that is trying to expand. Good culture, younger workforce if that’s important to you. Not too much pressure. For women, this is a women-first company and they promote a lot of women to leadership positions.

Cons

Pay isn’t good enough to make this a career, or afford living in Northern Illinois. Good while you’re looking for something else/young without family. They’re getting better organization but they’re still pretty disorganized, namely because they don’t take shipping and receiving seriously enough.

Pros

Solid place to work overall, with good people. Leadership has been making real moves to tighten up structure and communication, and it shows. My role and comp structure have improved a lot recently.

Cons

It’s still fast-paced and sometimes a little chaotic as the company grows. Priorities can shift quickly, and processes are still catching up to the size of the business. But overall it’s heading in the right direction.

Pros

Great people to work with. Extremely smart team, and there is always a helping hand when in need. It’s a challenging job which will grow your skills and experience exceptionally. Flexible PTO is nice when you need time to recharge (however you likely won’t be able to use much). Processes are changing in a more scalable direction. Would recommend if you’re looking to grow skillset, but would not recommend if you’re looking for stability or a long term career opportunity.

Cons

Expect whiplash as an employee. Ever changing. Be ready to adapt to the changes. Be ready for new org changes, sometimes small, sometimes an entire change to your working title and job duties. I’ve had 6 manager's. Not a lot of career growth opportunities. You’ll likely need to stick to one path which tops out at a low to mid level. Not a great pay structure for the amount of work you’ll need to put in. Even the commission structure is pretty dainty. Lofty goals will force you to move quickly and complete hundreds of projects per month just to reach your goals. High turnover for a company that already needs to double its workforce. Senior employees have begun exiting. Each week leadership is working to redistribute accounts which results in an unsustainable workload for the employees along with confusion and frustration for the clients. No employer contribution to your 401k which you should really take into account if you are looking for something long term.
