Pros

There use to be many but new management as well as certain senior staff members have destroyed this college. It runs like a cult.

Cons

Awful management at so many different levels Underhand Duplicitous Hire/Fire Culture If I could give zero on ratings I would. Students deserve so much better

Pros

Gym facilities, yearly bonus, most people genuinely care about students.

Cons

Allyship and nepotism influence progression in high paid roles and there is a tendency to bring in friends and family. Recruitment processes are inconsistent i.e. if they want you in a role, they will make the interview just a formality. Some very good people were pushed aside or encouraged to take redundancy. There is a restructure almost yearly now and people fear job loss. Salaries for senior leadership are very high compared to what teachers and lower management get. Communication and collaboration ised to be better a few years ago.

Pros

The school allows for students brand new to the country a community and opportunity to build their education outside of the pressures of mainstream. Members of my team (curriculum manager, teachers, and support staff) were extremely supportive and good people. Creative freedom was encouraged. I received lots of on-the-job training from everything from maths education to safeguarding. Starting salary good for entry level position, and increases with positive mid-year reviews. Pro-rata salary is paid equally throughout the year.

Cons

Constant cuts to the budget, teachers, support staff, and 3 restructures, etc. should have been a red flag. I was constantly asked to cover classes due to poor staffing, which was explicitly not in my job description. Staff shortages meant larger class sizes, and this frequently led to conflicts and fights between the students. In the end the HR department almost had me deported because of their incompetence. They promised in writing they had initiated my Skilled Worker visa, but in fact had not. No severance package allotted despite the termination (due to unexpected visa expiration) being their fault.
