Pros
haha - nothing other than a new office
Cons
The property team is in complete disarray, with constant staff turnover and no sense of stability. It is not surprising given the internal culture. Salaries are poor for the level of workload expected, and there is little to no meaningful training or professional development provided. The environment is highly toxic. Boundaries between work and personal time are not respected. It was common to receive messages from the partner on WhatsApp during annual leave, as well as texts early in the morning or late in the evening. Holidays could be refused without any clear justification, and there was an expectation that staff should always be available. Management is another major issue. In my experience, the partner leading the team, Kamil struggled with basic legal concepts, which made decision-making and supervision frustrating. Meetings were frequently scheduled during lunch breaks, and there was a culture of artificial hype around completions rather than genuine support for the team. Targets are extremely high and unrealistic given the resources available. There have also been numerous internal controversies and rumours linked to the firm that have affected morale and the overall reputation of the workplace. Finally, the reception and front-of-house team demonstrate very poor customer service skills, which reflects badly on the firm when clients interact with the office. Overall, the department suffers from poor leadership, a toxic culture, unrealistic expectations, and a lack of respect for employees’ time and wellbeing.
