Pros
There are some really smart and talented people there at this company.
The product is really good and solves a real need in the market.
Cons
I think this company is doomed to fail. As employees, you can give this place your best work and you'll not be honored for that. You'll be betrayed.
My prior boss regularly talks down about clients to his staff. He puts people in the "principals office". He doesn't treat his c suite like the leaders they are. He believes his ideas are always the best. He's unable to lead with vision or trust of his team. He has anxiety issues that cause him to micromanage and nit pick people.
He put me on a pedestal when I first began, but he was just using me. He had no issue throwing me out, when he was under pressure to balance his budget because he over spent. It didn't matter what I did for this company or that I built the growth engine that tripled revenue. I asked him repeatedly if we should meet as a leadership team to find a solution, but he refused and wanted unrealistic sales guarantees instead that would solve his issues. He truly believes he can lead any team better than the leaders he hired to do it. He's unable to be transparent and truly collaborative.
This company has high turnover. Every department has experienced his take over of the team at some point. I saw the warning signs and ignored it because I didn't want to believe it.
