Pros

None. Absolutely nothing positive to say about this firm.

Cons

Where to start. So much is wrong it is difficult to decide what goes first. No training is provided. Even for people with no office or legal experience. You are given an hours run down of the system and expected to know how everything works immediately. There is no guidance or assistance in place. You either make no mistakes or you get the boot. There is no in-between. Horrendously out of date software. They are still using the Office suite from the early 2000s. Over 20 years out of date. The WiFi is a joke. It goes down once a day at a minimum. Sometimes for most of the day. Extremely unfair treatment. The Reigate office is allowed to do whatever they want, but the Camberwell office isn’t. Work from home was taken away from admin staff whilst the rest of the firm works mostly from home. Very inadequate desk setup. Tiny screens with poor resolution. With the number of applications you need open, they should at least give you 2 - 3 screens. Oppressive culture. You are in constant fear for your job. The upper management makes you grovel and apologise for problems that weren’t your fault. You get blamed for Partners failing at their jobs. Whilst on probation, they hold every little mistake over your head. They threatened to fire me a week into the job. There is one person at the head of HR, and they hold a huge amount of power and influence within the firm. You feel as if you can't say or do anything. They ignore common problems, don't provide you with enough equipment (I had to bring my own in) and generally make working there very unpleasant and difficult. Do not work here!!! Do not bother to apply. Not worth it

Pros

The lawyers offer a great service to clients and are professional in their practice

Cons

No Training - Employees are trained for one day on the systems and IT, but there is no formal training at all. Even for those who have no previous legal experience, you are expected to know how to do everything. Toxic Culture - There is a huge divide between junior and senior members of the firm. One person is in charge of HR, making it extremely difficult to raise any concerns. Even when multiple complaints are made against a solicitor’s behaviour towards paralegals, nothing is done to stop this repeating. No perks - The salary is low and there are zero perks to the job. The company often finds ways to cut costs and any expenditure, including socials and even meals, is extremely limited. High standards - Some of the solicitors hold paralegals to extremely high standards, leaving no room for error, and creating a culture of fear, even early on after joining the firm. Poor management - Low paralegal retention rate. Managers are unprofessional and passive aggressive. Paralegals viewed as dispensable while partners are protected no matter what.

Pros

I cannot find a pros about the firm.

Cons

- **Terrible office conditions**: Both offices need significant improvement. The Camberwell office, in particular, feels very small and lacks windows/natural lighting, which can make it feel quite depressing. - **Poor management**: There is only one person handling HR who holds a disproportionate amount of power within the firm, which is concerning. Multiple lawyers have also complained about this issue, especially when trying to raise concerns about that specific HR person. - **Passive-aggressive behavior**: There are instances of passive/aggressive behaviors from some lawyers and managers. - **No employee benefits**: The firm does not offer any employee benefits. - **Inadequate training**: Training provided is poor compared to other firms. - **Outdated technology**: The technology is outdated, with no double screens provided, and the system often freezes at least once a day. - **Lack of values**: The firm's values are not consistently applied or upheld.
