Pros
Great people at every level, and a variety of jobs.
Firm has grown quickly and provides upward mobility options.
The pay was very competitive and was the highest offer I received among the few I received when I was looking.
Cons
Saw a lot of turnover at manager, senior manager and director level due to overwhelming client loads, partners being out of touch and a lot falling on their shoulders. A terrible job was done to match people with the industries they were more experienced and/or interested in. I was thrown on several NFP engagements when it was one area I specifically asked, and was promised, to not be put on. I figured it out enough to do an okay job, but saw people who were great at and preferred the industry stuck on others that I was equipped for. They grew too fast and at some point partners just detached themselves from how long jobs take, didn’t support the team, or would promise to try and speak to a difficult client or get resources rearranged, but never followed through. They didn’t step in when scope creep happened, and were rarely seen after initial meetings.
It was widely known that one partner overseeing a pretty large practice arm wouldn’t read any emails you sent. They claimed messaging them or texting was only thing that could work.
Nearly every good team member ate time to try and reach expectations, and the ones that didn’t were branded as being slow or bad at their job.
Some practice arms seemed better than others but the firm just seemed to be growing too fast for their own good.
