Pros

You will work in a collaborative environment, and the people you work with are helpful.

Cons

If you are applying in hopes of receiving mentorship or professional guidance, this may not be the best place. Many of the individuals I worked with, including some supervisors, were also interns, which made it challenging to receive clear direction from experienced professionals. The way tasks and instructions were communicated was often confusing at the start, although it became easier to adjust to over time. The workload is also quite heavy, with many tasks assigned under tight deadlines. During my time as an intern, I observed that several people, mostly interns, left or resigned from their positions.

Pros

Extremely flexible WFH hours. Very suitable for students with a light to moderate unit load, part-time internship seekers, night owl-types, etc. Learning about the company's story as a social enterprise is interesting. The bar for securing a graphics internship is quite low which is a pro and a con. Good for gaining work experience. Eye-opening experience. Many lessons learned through the cons below.

Cons

Little to no mentorship for graphics interns since there was no employed creative team at the time. Felt unsupported during quick turnaround periods because there were no employed graphic designers to lean on as an unpaid intern. The bar for securing a graphics internship is quite low which is a pro and a con. Good for gaining work experience. Bad for actually being productive if your fellow interns are not contributing equally in quality and quantity. But this may lead to overloading interns with too much tasks without support from employees or supervisors.
