Pros

I worked at Crew A La Mode for just under three years. In this time I received two promotions and had the opportunity to explore a different job role. This allowed me to grow my skill set and understand my strengths. I was able to work and collaborate with some amazing brands. Lottie the CEO / Founder is very supportive in progressing your career goals and will always offer training to help develop progression. The company offers flexible working and opportunities to travel. I was able to visit Porto on a number of occasions, where the other office is based and spend some time in Monaco when the boat show was on. I enjoyed my time working for the company and have very fond memories.

Cons

I now want a yacht

Pros

Formed good friendships, some of the girls there were genuinely lovely. My line manager was nice and understanding towards me. Nice Christmas parties, they went all out. Free snacks and food.

Cons

Terrible work-life balance. You pretty much live in a constant state of stress because something might go wrong and when it does (which it did a lot because of the insane workload) all hell breaks loose. The owner plays favourites between teams and expects too much of everyone yet there was not a single person that I spoke to that didn't complain about their salary and how overworked they are. Most of us were underpaid for the amount of hours we put in and the stress we were under. I suppose this explains the fancy Christmas parties but I'd rather be paid fairly. Rude emails were sent with ridiculous demands like asking us to travel abroad the next day with no regards to personal life or health. Upon refusal I was told that I wasn't willing to go the extra mile. Never mind that I always worked late, sometimes until 7/8pm or finishing bits off before bed. I saw some of my colleagues get treated terribly and brought to tears on multiple occasions. They take advantage of nice and humble people. Honesty is not rewarded, if you disagree with the owner or the ways of the company, you're in trouble. Particularly if you were young and/or lacking in confidence and depend on your salary to make ends meet.
