Pros

Flexible PTO and never guilted for taking time off. The work-life balance is nice.

Cons

Unorganized upper management, no communication, ever-changing expectations and pay is frequently changed suddenly (for the worse) without communication or discussion. The favoritism for certain employees and communities is so obvious. It’s very clear the company is trying to grow but doesn’t have a firm grasp on what they’re doing. I have been in healthcare for quite a few years and I have never experienced a company like this. I can only hope this review serves as a warning for individuals looking to apply here. RUN!!

Pros

With a one of a kind continuum like this, Summit is able to provide tailored care to patients in any stage of their aging process. From executives down to the care team, everyone has the same goal being to enrich the lives of every life we touch. It governs all decisions the company makes especially with regard to growth.

Cons

Growing pains can be felt at times, like with every company in any industry, growing too slowly can create aches, but growing too quickly can hamper staff's work-life balance--Summit strives not to do that, by hiring first to accommodate potential growth.

We developed this continuum of care to cater to all potential and current patient's need in any stage of the aging process. With that in mind, we're unable to accomplish this goal without the amazing staff we have. It is the care our staff provides that makes Summit Healthcare Services a top choice in aging!

Pros

Employees nice to work with, functions as a team. If you like independence, this is the job for you.

Cons

No routine raises, needed to practically beg for a raise after 2.5 years. Hire new people in at same rate as you, no matter how long you have been there. Get something in writing about salary/raises before signing on.

During 2022 our continued growth and success has made us better able to re-evaluate employees wages. Not only do we evaluate employees wages against the rise in cost-of-living, but also fairness of time served and performance. Our goals are to always make employees feel well-supported and appreciated. We accomplish this, and always have accomplished this, in different ways that aren't always just wage raises, but community and internal accolades, employee recognition, competitive benefits, and an unheard of, generous, PTO program. We are sorry to hear that you did not feel this was experienced while you were employed with us, but thank you for your service!
