Pros
Very easy going atmosphere where it seems like nobody really takes things too seriously. It’s very common for people to block out huge amounts of their calendars for non-work related things, even daily, and nobody is expected to make the time up later etc. There is a mass exodus of the office at 4pm with people citing trains like they don’t run in the evenings. There are a constant stream of pointless updates to attend, leaving even less time for actual work.
Cons
The pointless updates are maybe a bit too much and too repetitive. I think I counted something like 7 hours of mandatory, pointless, “update focused” team meetings every week. At my new job it’s one hour every 3 months.
