Pros
-It's remote. -Work is simple and easy-Running social medias and making simple rote social/website designs with Canva forms that already exist.
Cons
-The CEO is the only employee, and it appeared that all other staff were freelancers, not a problem per se, but she required full-time hours to her schedule. -I received calls and texts at all times of day where work was demanded to be finished within the hour. After multiple attempts at setting boundaries, I left with a very odd series of defensive and escalated emails from the CEO. -Pay was often delayed, and she had to be reminded on multiple occasions to pay me- including arguing that she had 'paid me already'. -What was originally meant to be a simple one-off design project on Canva turned into a months-long design freelance job, but she refused to sign/agree to any freelance contract. Job eventually escalated into me running all social medias and the website as well as designing everything, which would have been great if the pay was better and I was looking for a full-time remote design job but due to her time requirements and erratic communication, I left. -There was sort of a schedule but not really and this is what resulted in last-minute projects every week. Instead of having a schedule plan, CEO would make a schedule plan and then not stick to it and not communicate that. Which resulted in me also having to keep on top of her like a personal assistant. This also led to scheduling issues for me as I would often be either out at dinner with friends or at work and be urgently called to work on these projects. Complete disregard for me and my time. -The web platform used is a nightmare to use and is completely full to the brim with old content. -The CEO/manager is not good with tech so issues often arose where I would have to talk her through a simple website or Instagram function or she would blame me for something on IG being incorrect but she simply didn't upload it in the correct way. Bit of a problem for someone whose entire business is online.
