Teachers are often treated as disposable. Departments should work to build collaboration and create a place where teachers actually want to be. Their efforts need to be recognized especially because the demands on them are very high and sometimes not realistic. Many of these demands come from administrators worried about having enough data for parents instead of focusing on what really helps students and their progress. This ends up being a burden for teachers.
