Pros
Some managers were brilliant, but were clearly exhausted and aged by the workload.
Cons
I had a deeply disappointing experience working at Knockranny House Hotel. The work environment was incredibly challenging, with several glaring issues that made the job unbearable.
Firstly, there was an alarmingly high turnover of staff, which created a constant sense of instability and meant we were often short-staffed. Pay was unacceptably low, especially considering the long, gruelling hours we were expected to work. It wasn’t uncommon to be called back in less than 8 hours after finishing a shift, leaving little time to rest or recover.
Respect for employees was minimal, with management showing little regard for staff well-being. The staff facilities were outdated and poorly maintained, with old and dilapidated areas that made breaks far from relaxing.
Long hours, poor pay, no respect, high staff turnover.
