I joined HMGICS after being attracted by the idea of an innovation centre, especially since I already had a stable job with WFH and comparable benefits.
Unfortunately, my experience did not match expectations. The work environment feels quite different from what was presented, with internal processes and tools that appear less mature than expected for an “innovation” organisation. Collaboration tools and workflows can be inefficient at times, which affects productivity.
Communication across teams can also be challenging, particularly when meetings or discussions are not fully aligned in English language or accessibility for all participants.
Workload distribution varies significantly between teams , and the working style can feel highly controlled, with frequent oversight and direction from management.
Overall, the experience can be quite demanding and may not suit everyone. I would strongly encourage anyone considering joining to evaluate the team structure, expectations, and working culture carefully before making a decision. Unless you are desperate for job .Overall, this role may be more suitable for individuals who are in urgent need of employment or who are prepared for a fast-paced and highly controlled working environment, rather than those expecting a conventional corporate setup.
