Pros

Working at Psych Connect has been an incredibly meaningful and enriching experience. The team culture is supportive, collaborative, and grounded in a shared goal of providing the best outcomes for every individual we work with. What I appreciate most is the strong emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration. There is a genuine openness to learning from one another, and every professional voice is valued. This creates an environment where we are constantly growing—both in our clinical practice and in how we support our clients. The leadership team is approachable and forward-thinking, encouraging innovation while ensuring that our work remains evidence-based and client-centred. There is also a strong focus on professional development, which has allowed me to deepen my skills and refine my approach over time. Most importantly, there is a real sense of purpose in the work we do. Being part of a team that is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and families makes this more than just a workplace—it’s a community. I’m truly grateful to be part of Psych Connect and would highly recommend it to professionals who are passionate about meaningful, impactful work.

Pros

Psych Connect is a collaborative, professional, and multidisciplinary environment to work in. As a clinician, I have really appreciated being part of a team where different perspectives are valued, including art therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, counselling, and clinicians trained in various therapeutic modalities. This creates a supportive learning environment where clinicians can consult, collaborate, and gain broader perspectives on client care. The clinic also offers opportunities to work with a diverse range of clients and presentations, which supports clinical growth and confidence. Another strength of the clinic is that the opportunities are not limited to individual therapy. Clinicians may have opportunities to develop and run programmes, facilitate groups, give talks, present, network, and grow professionally in areas they are interested in. Leadership has been supportive of clinicians who are motivated to take initiative and develop these areas.

Cons

This may not be the right environment for clinicians who are not interested in growth opportunities, multidisciplinary collaboration, or working with a diverse and sometimes complex range of clients. Because the clinic works with minors, families, and clients with different levels of clinical risk, there is a strong emphasis on ethical practice, documentation, coordinated care, safeguarding, and reporting in line with Singapore guidelines and professional responsibilities. This is important work, but it does require clinicians to be comfortable with clear documentation, parent communication where appropriate, collaboration with other professionals, and taking risk and safeguarding concerns seriously. For clinicians who prefer to work in isolation, are uncomfortable with documentation, do not believe in multidisciplinary care, or are hesitant to address safeguarding or risk concerns, this may not be the best fit.

Pros

Working here has been a genuinely growth-oriented experience. The environment actively encourages continuous development, often pushing you to step beyond your comfort zone in ways that feel both challenging and rewarding. There is a strong emphasis on a multidisciplinary approach, which not only broadens your perspective but also deepens your ability to collaborate effectively across different areas of expertise. One of the standout strengths of this workplace is the exposure to a diverse range of cases. This variety keeps the work engaging and ensures that learning never plateaus. The culture of teamwork is another major advantage—colleagues are supportive, collaborative, and invested in shared outcomes. Additionally, regular clinical supervisions play a key role in fostering ongoing knowledge building, providing structured opportunities to reflect, learn, and refine your practice.

Cons

This environment may not suit everyone. Individuals who prefer to remain within a familiar routine, like to work only in their own space or are not looking to engage with complex cases may find the expectations challenging. The strong focus on growth, adaptability, and team-based work means that staying within a comfort zone results in dissatisfactory outcomes.
