toxic, awful company - Creative Director Four23 Employee Review

The studio is beautiful. The clients are exciting and lots of cool briefs to work on. You get a really nice welcome pack.

The staff turnover at four23 consistently was and seemingly continues to be fairly bad, which I think says alot about a company. There is little to no structure in the organisation, and a real nervous culture of people playing chicken to see who will make it out of the door at a reasonable time in the evening. Extra hours are ridiculous (regularly to 1am in the studio working last minute on briefs that are then torn apart and on started again). No compensation is given - staff are not well cared for, no training is provided. Management team act badly under pressure and many people have left unhappy. Overall you could learn alot working here but the cons outweigh the pros, and it is not a place I would recommend to ANYONE I know.

Beautiful studio which provides a lovely and comfortable working space. Really exciting clients which provide very creative briefs. Everyone is encouraged to contribute to the creative process.

There is no real team or management structure, it's a small team so there is an expectation to always work extra hours including weekends, this makes a work life balance difficult. There are no monetary rewards for this. The company heads are very temperamental which can create a very hostile working environment. The staff turnover is the worst I have experienced in any company.
