Pros
I worked at Aker Ink for 3 years, starting as an Account Coordinator and ending as an Account Executive. I received a ton of wonderful mentorship and learned a lot working for a wide range of clients at Aker Ink. I was able to put my hands in a lot of projects that interested me, and also got great experience in project management and client services.
I became a much better writer thanks to the coaching and feedback that was so readily given on all of my projects. The leadership is really hands-on, which I enjoyed a lot. I got to learn from seasoned PR professionals who had seen it all!
The remote work style is also wonderful, and the company/leadership values taking care of yourself. Employees are also encouraged to get out in the community to volunteer and serve on boards.
This job set me up for much of the success I've seen in my career after leaving. I have no hard feelings toward the company or the team. They're a wonderful group who have incredible expertise!
Cons
If you aren't self-motivated and struggle to work from home, you may find it tough to work at Aker Ink.
