Pros

The role I have offers a ton of variety and opportunity for growth. Every client is unique and there's room to do genuine good within the role. The company recognises hard work, plus the freedom within the role allows you to work creatively without feeling too much pressure to conform to rigid expectations. Because Perpetual Guardian is the result of many companies merging over decades, there is no one size fits all approach and so there is a lot of autonomy to make decisions provided they are well reasoned and informed. The four day work week is a real thing and provided you don't go into the role with any expectation that you are entitled to it there's really no reason why it won't become a privilege after proving yourself first.

Cons

The processes and procedures are really incongruent and convoluted. The company could do from more internal marketing to help establish consistency between branches. A lot of time is wasted having to work between "silo'd" departments and navigating overcomplicated payment systems.

Pros

Flexible working and good work life balance

Cons

Terrible pay and rigid remuneration review meaning that women get gender pay gaped.
