Pros

Great entry level position to gain recruiting/Sales experience and build a foundation in staffing. There is a clear path for promotion.

Cons

- Office culture varies significantly, and my experience in the Riverside office, based out of Orange, was extremely poor due to leadership. There is clear favoritism that directly impacts opportunities, recognition, and overall team morale. - Leadership lacks professionalism in meetings and often does not create space for others to speak or ask questions. When support is needed, it’s often dismissed or met with comments about not having time to help. I personally never felt supported by my director, and feedback at all levels of leadership feels nonexistent. - There is also a larger issue with accountability and structure. Higher leadership appears very cliquey, which makes it uncomfortable to provide honest feedback. This dynamic trickles down into the office environment, creating a toxic culture where certain individuals are favored while others are overlooked. - The workload is extremely burnout heavy, and at times recruiters are expected to recruit for roles that don’t actually exist, leading to frustrating and negative experiences for candidates. Early on, I was even encouraged to ignore certain policies in order to drive business, which eventually led to serious consequences for the entire office. - Turnover is very high, especially for recruiters under two years, which speaks to the overall lack of support and sustainability in the role. - Additionally, I observed ongoing unprofessional behavior in the workplace, including inappropriate comments about employees, which further contributed to an uncomfortable environment.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed and candid feedback about your experience. We genuinely appreciate you acknowledging the strong foundation the role can provide early in a staffing career and the clarity around promotion paths. At the same time, we are deeply concerned by the issues you raised regarding leadership conduct, favoritism, accountability, workload sustainability, and workplace professionalism. These are serious matters, and we understand how harmful they can be to morale, trust, and long‑term growth. Your perspective on the need for more professional, supportive, and transparent leadership is both thoughtful and important. Feedback like this helps highlight where meaningful change is needed. We would welcome the opportunity to better understand your experience and address these concerns directly. Please contact us at ShareYourExperiences@amergis.com so we can continue this conversation thoughtfully and constructively.
