if you are a contract driver for them, once you factor in 1099 taxes, fuel, and wear and tear on your vehicle, you are taking home about six dollars per hour. Thats not just my situation. I have run the numbers. The self employment tax KILLS your profits. Doesnt matter if you work a little or a lot. You wil just earn more hours at about six bucks a piece.
This is why they hire contract drivers. They are allowed to pay less than minimum wage and well below what a driver should be making.
